This project involved the development and maintenance of the official website for the Symposium of Spanish-Speaking Students in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (SEH2Bioinfo).
Background
In 2022, the first SEH2Bioinfo was organized, being the first bioinformatics event driven by a massive collaboration between Spanish-speaking Regional Student Groups (RSGs). The project united student organizations from Argentina, Spain, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Peru, Mexico, and Uruguay.
The symposium was established to promote linguistic diversity in the scientific community. By centering Spanish as the primary language for communication, the project aimed to eliminate barriers to scientific access and empower studentsāfrom high school to postgraduate levelsāto present their research in their native language.
